Seeing the Truth

Belinda started by asking clarification about questioning what you believe in.

We will later look at what we are finding IS true, need to clear the ground first.

Chief feature

Elena working on chief feature.  A week of not forcing herself - started this afternoon and already feels fantastic.

For clarification to the new people.  Chief feature is the thing that stops you the most.  What can you see that stops you from going forward.

Something you can feel and see but may be hard to put to words.  To start with, try asking someone close to you.

It's something that you learn to do the get by.  It's learned by you somewhere along the way as a way to function.  You may have adopted it because it was useful but may not be now.  Look at it.

Meditation

Approach it deeply and you'll see you are not anyone.  You just learn to be certain ways.

Validation

We seek validation.  We try to get someone else to like/love us.  This never happens.  Other people will never validate you and if they do, you worry it will be taken away.  Worrying about validation from others is insanity.

Dave Daniels - teaching through relationships

One of Daniel's teachers.  No one is ever going to be extremely full of sexual energy toward his/her mate forever. There may  be other things in the relationship but that strong sexual attractiveness to either other is highly likely to lessen, in fact - IT WILL.  If that's true, then what can happen? Lots of things.  Love.  Deepening of other levels of relationship. If you only look for sexual energy and you believe it lasts forever,  you cannot see what other things you could have.

Seeing Truth

Think about it.  Everyone  you see will die.  This is the obvious truth. It's staring you in the face.  Guirdjieff says that understanding that the people you are mad at and having all of these emotions toward, they will be gone and relatively soon.  This may be the thing that softens you.

Drinking alcohol.  Daniel isn't opposed to it but acknowledge what it is. It is used to cloud your thinking and your feeling.  In little amounts it may just relax you but most of the time it really is making you NOT feel reality. Usually used to a point beyond relaxation- it doesn't take much.

Why watch t.v.?  Why drink?  Are you able to just be clear and free?  Do you need distraction?  Either way, that is a good think to know about yourself. LOOK without judging.  Look and see what is true.

Dave Daniels always said- AND DO THIS FOR THE WEEK- Look at and see what you really think about.  Don't judge it.  Just see it.  What is it REALLY?!

3 things are true- look at them:

   1.  You will die

   2.  you are a small speck in terms of the whole universe

   3.  what you really think all day

Group will need to be honest and get down to what is real.  There is a real value for the truth.  Think deeply on this.

We have a lot of faith in emotion.  We think that what we feel is true. Lots of feelings and emotions of people have been amazingly destructive to this planet and to other people.  Were these feelings true?  More or less true than your own?  How can that be?

In the beginning, people didn't look for a thing, they just looked for what was.

Happiness versus sadness

Happiness.  What is it?  Do you actually feel it?  Can you even define it? Is it constant?  Is it a real thing? Sadness.  Is it so bad?  Is it definable?  Are your feelings in these two categories?

Avoid picking and choosing.  Avoid being for or against.
